Our puppet manufactory: right in the heart of Dresden
From the 16th century onwards, Dresden developed into a European centre of art and culture. In the 18th century its beauty was enhanced by the Zwinger, a gem of Baroque architecture. The Catholic Court Church and the Frauenkirche, as well as numerous palaces and magnificent avenues were also built then. Dresden, lovingly referred to as Florence on the Elbe, thus became a mecca for lovers of the fine arts.
The demonstration workshop for the art of puppet-making is located in a romantic, ornately decorated art-nouveau style villa dating from 1913 right in the heart of the cultural city of Dresden.
